The Words Are Out: Piglet wakes up one morning with laryngitis, so Pooh promises to find his "lost words".

Brain Drain: The gang panics when Eeyore suffers a "brain drain" and tries everything they can to jog his memory.

This episode as a whole contains examples of:

  • Poor Communication Kills: Or causes a lot of inconvenience, at any rate. Piglet's laryngitis in "The Words Are Out" means he can't tell Pooh what he wants to tell him, while "Brain Drain" has Eeyore forgetting something important, with the others trying to help him remember what it was.

The Words Are Out contains examples of:

  • Grossout Fakeout: When Piglet is forced to use charades, Tigger mistakenly thinks that Piglet needs to use the bathroom.
  • Literal-Minded: Pooh misunderstands what laryngitis is and thinks Piglet has literally "lost his words", and so sets out to get them back.

Brain Drain contains examples of:

  • Elephants Never Forget: One of the gang's ideas on how to stop Eeyore's "brain drain" is to try making him into an elephant by putting a fake elephant trunk and ears on his head and feeding him peanuts, since elephants are supposed to have good memories. All it does is make Eeyore remember he doesn't like peanuts.
  • Insane Troll Logic: Tigger employs some more innocent-than-malicious logic to prove that Eeyore's "brain drain" is worse than it is.
Tigger: How about your favourite color?
Eeyore: I know that one! Yellow!
Tigger: Wrong! It's orange with black stripes!
Pooh: But that's your favourite color, Tigger.
Tigger: And Eeyore didn't remember! Brain Draaaiiin!
    • The others also engage in innocent Troll Logic when their "solutions" to solving the brain drain don't work out, making them think it's getting worse.
  • Literal-Minded: Tigger's first idea is to jog Eeyore's memory... literally, by making him run on a treadmill. All it does is tire Eeyore out.
  • Mind Virus: When other characters start to forget things, the gang as a whole panics, thinking that Eeyore's "brain drain" has become this. They resort to putting up signs on everything to ensure they won't forget anything.
  • String-on-Finger Reminder: Eeyore has a string tied to his hoof through the whole episode. This isn't remarked upon until the end, when Eeyore does notice the string and remembers that he tied it there to help him remind Rabbit to pick his strawberries.
