The issue of the Earthquakes can no longer be ignored... except for when the Sky Pirates come calling for Puss's help to rescue their kidnapped captain with the aid of the Ogre Tranche.
Tropes:
- Easily Forgiven: After all is said and done, Alonso is willing to forgive Bonky for imprisoning him and offers Bonky a chance to return to being his pet parrot. Bonky accepts but escapes at his earliest convenience swearing revenge. Once again Alonso denies that he deliberately let Bonky go.
- Is It Something You Eat?: The ransom note for Captain Alonso reads that he has been shanghaied. Puss asks what shanghaied means, adding that it sounds delicious.
- Pirate Parrot: In his quest to become a pirate captain, Bonky wants Alonso to be his parrot, despite him being a parrot himself. Dissatisfied with Alonso's performance, Bonky forces Puss to take his place. Fortunately, Puss manages to trick him and turn the tables.
- Suicidal "Gotcha!": When Tranche and Puss are cornered on a tree branch about to break, Tranche lets himself fall to save Puss. Later, Puss falls off as well while fighting Bonky. Fortunately, both are saved by the other Sky Pirates.
