Puss is becoming a bit of a control freak trying to find the Obelisk of Night, and when clues point to the Sphinx's sister Callista, the group take a trip to Fountainwood, only for Puss to fall into the Fountain of 100 Changes.
Tropes:
- Cursed with Awesome: The Fountain of 100 changes, the only Fountain you can't Release, forces those cursed by it to undergo a completely random change every time they hiccup until they've gone through 100 of them. While Puss spends quite some time suffering from this, once he stops trying to maintain control and learns to just go with and adapt with whatever change he gets, he becomes an extremely powerful and unpredictable fighter.
- Dance Battler: Puss's first revelation that he can go with the flow and make his changes work to his advantages is when he begins uncontrollably dancing and is able to still fight while dancing at the same time.
- No Sense of Personal Space: When Dulcinea points out the illustrations in the book look similar to Sphinx's tattoos, Puss immediately goes to check, essentially tackling Sphinx so he can investigate her body for clues.
- Sequel Episode: To "Fountains".
- Sibling Rivalry: Sphinx and Callista spend almost the whole episode fighting each other and when Dulcinea intervenes to get them to talk it out, it's revealed they fight because they both think their parents liked the other one more.
