Volume 13 Bonus Chapter: My First Gamble and Drink Pounding
A young Momoha has just gotten 30 yen from her mother. As she debates whether or not she wants one big piece of candy or three small ones, she notices a boy receiving a prize from the lottery - 50 yen.
Momoha decides to do the lottery and manages to win the big prize - 100 yen. As she's pointing out the various candies she wants, the store's owner offers her another option: putting her prize into a 100 yen lottery. Losers get a treat, but winners can get up to 1000 yen.
Momoha's mother tries to warn her against this, but the idea has already taken root in Momoha's mind. We cut to Momoha walking home with a packet of powdered kid's beer. Later that night, Momoha struggles to understand what it is while her father has a drink. He explains that Momoha's prize needs to be mixed with water to get kid-friendly booze.
She chugs it down just like her father. Her amused mother asks what she wants for Christmas. Momoha says she wants a thousand yen. Well that's not cute at all!
Tropes:
- Imagine Spotting: The bonus page for Chapter 113 has Nano and Mei imagining themselves lazing about while dressed up like Momoha. They talk about booze, hitting the pachinko parlor and how great it would be for a lot of money to rain on them. Momoha demands that they not even THINK about acting like her.
- Indirect Kiss: Chapter 107's bonus page has Rentarou musing on how he convinced Mai to kiss him by pointing out that it would be an indirect kiss with Mei. He notes that by that logic, the entire family is indirectly kissing each other on the regular. Since everyone's already so close, it's probably fine.
- Sidetracked By The Golden Saucer: The bonus page for Chapter 106 reveals that not only did Kusuri and Shizuka get distracted from being date peepers, at one point Kusuri actually forgot why they even came to the amusement park.
- Smoking Is Cool: The bonus page for Chapter 108 is a drawing of Momoha back when she smoked (with a note saying that it's for people who are into that).
- What Did I Do Last Night?: Chapter 110's bonus page shows various members of the family waking up embarrassed by their actions from the previous night. The image is accompanied by a note that it's important to drink in moderation even when the drinks are non-alcoholic juice (which it definitely was in this case).
