- Comet of Doom: While Pifflecoot thinks that having the Turtle's Eye Ruby when O'Malley's Comet is in alignment will makehim into a God, it will actually cause the comet to crash into the Earth and they will all "bite the big one".
- Godhood Seeker: Pifflecoot believes that the radiation of O'Malley's Comet will activate the mystic properties of The Turtle's Eye Ruby and ascend him to Godhood.
- Harem Seeker: Pifflecoot kidnaps April because he "adores female-reporters" and plans on "collecting a whole set" for when he becomes a God.
- Idiot Ball: Everyone just accepts that April's sudden disappearance was because of the Ruby's fabled curse. Though considering Vernon is the one covering the story and the guy he interviewed, Percival Pifflecoot, was the one who kidnapped her, it might not be "everyone."
- Mistaken for Thief: At first Everyone thinks that Michelangelo stole the Turtle's Eye Ruby. That is until they get a good look at Michelangelo and think he's the reincarnation of Amun Turt-El.
- Supervillain Lair: Percival Pifflecoot does his evil business in a replica of the Great Sphinx of Giza just outside of the city.
