Go To

While the 110th Platoon experiences acts of espionage, forces back home move against Sodor.

This episode provides examples of:

  • Comically Missing the Point: When Diesel learns how Station Master Jeffreys died.
Diesel: Oi, lads. What's going on over there?
    Donald: Jeffreys died.
Diesel: What?! Really?! Who finally went and snuffed him? Was it one of the porters?
Winston: No. He had a heart attack brought on by an argument with Toby.
Diesel: With Toby? Huh... it's always the ones you least suspect. Hey, Toby! Good on ya mate!
Toby: Oh go to hell, Diesel.
  • Cutaway Gag: After it's revealed that the Lucky Lamp was on board Peter's train, Adam begins to wonder how the Mid-Sodor Railway is fairing without it, and Edward assumes they're doing fine. It then cuts to the slate quarry on the MSR where there has been an accident.
  • Good Luck Charm: When enemy spies plant a bomb on a bridge, Peter is saved from going on the bridge when a coupling snaps leaving half his train detached. It is then revealed that the Lucky Lamp was on board the train.
  • Killed Off for Real: Three deaths in this one
    • Station Master Jeffreys collapses and dies while Toby is standing up to him. It is later revealed he was poisoned by a member of the British Union, after it was assumed he had a heart attack from getting so angry at Toby.
    • After a bomb planted by a British Union member is discovered in a brakevan at Knapford Harbor, Alfred pushes the train away, right next to James' goods train. Alfred is killed in the ensuing explosion, as is Mr. Starr, who was in the brakevan of James' train.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Donald calls Diesel out for cheering Toby for killing Jeffreys.
