"Jedi. Ahsoka is Jedi."
When Ahsoka is one year old, her mother takes her on a ritual hunt.
Tropes:
- Action Girl: Pav-ti naturally. Not only does she take it upon herself to be the hunter for the village but when confronted with the sabertooth, she shows no hesitation in going full Mama Bear against it, down to engaging the much larger animal in a knife fight.
- Fluffy Tamer: As an infant, Ahsoka is able to get the predator to carry her back to the village. This proves to Gantika that Ahsoka is force-sensitive.
- A Hero Is Born: The episode begins with Ahsoka's birth, then cuts ahead to a year later.
- Mega Neko: Pav-ti is attacked by a tall burly wildcat called a raxshir, which somewhat resembles a yellow tiger with saber-teeth.
- Mercy Kill: The rifle shot doesn't kill the kybuck, so Ahsoka's mother slits its throat.
- Rite of Passage: When Ahsoka is a year old, Pav-ti takes her on a traditional hunt, despite Nak-il's protest that it's old-fashioned. Things go awry when a predator intrudes and ends up grabbing Ahsoka as the other villagers try to drive it off.
