The Experiment Arc is the fifth story arc in the Soul Eater series. - 13 Is Unlucky: Free's prisoner number is 13, and when he is released, it sure means bad luck for our main protagonists.
- The Ageless: Free does not seem to have aged a single day in witch prison, despite being there for 2 centuries
- The Alcatraz: The witch prison gives off vibes of this given that Eruka could only release free the werewolf because she had the key Medusa stole from the grand witch and because the guard was asleep. They did keep Free imprisoned for 200 years.
- Cheaters Never Prosper: In episode 14, Soul is caught with answers written on his clothing, so he's stripped down to his underwear. After that, he attempts to cheat by copying off of his neighbors' tests, but runs into the problems of Kid still filling out his name and Patty making a giraffe out of her test. Since the test is only an hour long, he doesn't have enough time to do anything effective and the test is over. Black Star doesn't fair any better, because he kept getting distracted from his studies and didn't have the patience for studying anyway, he tried to steal the test answers from Steins lab, it didn't end well for him.
- Complete Immortality: the werewolf Free seems to have this, as he was imprisoned by the grand witch for 200 years, who never seem to have tried to excecute him in all that time, implies that there was no way to kill him at all.
- Healing Factor: Free can heal from any injury. He also doesn't seem too worried about losing his hand, Implying this includes Regenerating lost limbs
- Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot: Free the immortal magic werewolf everybody
- Really 700 Years Old: Free looks like hes only in his mid-to-late 30's but is actually over 200 years old at least.
- Sealed Evil in a Can: The man with the magic eye, or prisoner 13, was imprisoned by the grand witch for stealing her eye, even his name was taken from him, forgotten after 200 years. Upon being freed by Eruka he declares his new name is Free.
- Stealth Pun: Given all the other music references in this show it should be a surprise to no one that the Werewolf is fought in London
- Our Werewolves Are Different: The werewolf Free is also immortal and has magic due to using the eye he stole from the grand witch herself.
- Too Dumb to Live: Free is this somewhat. being immortal can make anyone a little reckless with thier lives since they can afford too, like when Soul tries to stab him when his guard was down.
- Unwitting Test Subject: What medusa does to Soul and Maka behind the scenes to test out how the black blood is affecting them during strong resonance
