Sally and Antoine follow up on a lead that suggests that her father, King Acorn, may be alive. Meanwhile, Sonic attempts to rescue a captured freedom fighter.

- Forgotten Fallen Friend: Cat is never mentioned again after this episode.
- Plot Detour: Played With. Within all of Antoine's goofiness, Sally searching for her father, and of course, the usual playful banter between Sonic and Sally, they seem to almost completely forget about Cat, who's been captured by Robotnik. When they do come back for him, it's too late.
- Redshirt: While Cat gains some smidgen of personality, he is quickly captured. Glaringly, Robotnik doesn't deal with him straight away, but Sally's already long-cold mission to find her father is treated as higher priority, with only Sonic really caring much about rescuing him, and when he's finally able to, it's too late.
- Ungrateful Bastard: Sally is so focused on finding a clue to her father's whereabouts that she takes time away from rescuing Cat, despite him sacrificing himself for her.
- What Happened to the Mouse?: Cat's ultimate fate is never made clear after the Freedom Fighters fail to save him.
