A lightning strike and Kryptonite causes Lana to gain Clark's powers, and Lana uses her newfound abilities to try and expose the truth about Lex's experiments.
Tropes present in the episode:
- Destructo-Nookie: After gaining Clark's powers, Lana remarks they're on the same playing field, meaning they can be intimate with one another. The result is an earthquake in Smallville and a hole in the Kent barn roof.
- Drunk with Power: Lana let's her desire for revenge against the Luthors get in over her head.
- Lightning Can Do Anything: Like in past episodes "Leech" and "Asylum," a combo of Kryptonite and lightning can transfer Clark's powers to anyone near him. Unlike the previous two times, Clark keeps his own powers.
- Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex: Invoked by Lana, now that she has powers this no longer applies to her and Clark.
- Sexy Shirt Switch: Lana is seen wearing one of Clark's shirts after she and Clark engage in some earth-shaking intimacy.
- Villain of the Week: Lana.
- With Great Power Comes Great Insanity: Lana, after gaining Clark's powers.
