Recap / Seijuu Sentai Gingaman Ep 12

Go To

Sambash's end game continues as he manipulates the Gingamen into getting the source he wants. And the way he does it is bringing back someone from Ryouma's past.

Episode Tropes:

  • All for Nothing: All of Sambash's plan in the last two episodes ends up being a fruitless endeavor as the box that supposedly contained the Lights of Ginga turned out to be empty. He is not happy about this to say the least.
  • The Bus Came Back: Budoh returns after being dismissed in Episode 3 and his Majin Komuhachi returns since his first appearance in Episode 2.
  • Foreshadowing: Sambash mentions that he defeated someone to get the answers about the Lights of Ginga as that person was the one who brought the lights down to Earth in the first place. Who or what that person is will be revealed later on.
  • Killed Off for Real: Sambash ends up dying after attempting to run over Ryouma with his motorbike, only to get fatally slashed and drive off a cliff.
  • MacGuffin: This episode introduces the Lights of Ginga, a power source that forms to the user's liking.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Sambash had Majin Gurinjii disguise himself as Hyuuga to push Ryouma into unlocking the cave's seal as only a person with Earth Power can open it.
  • This Is Unforgivable!: The Gingamen are not pleased that Sambash and Gurinjii used Hyuuga's appearance against them and Ryouma swears he will never forgive the two for that.
  • Wham Episode:
    • Sambash dies in this episode, the first of the Balban commanders to die.
    • Also, this episode introduces the Lights of Ginga, setting up the next arc of the series.
  • Villainous Breakdown: Sambash loses it when he finds the box empty.
