- The Ace: Nick is just better than JD. He's a better doctor, always has the answer, he's prettier, comes riding in on a gurney saving a patient's life...
- Always Someone Better: Again, Nick is better than JD.
- Broken Ace: The stress of being a doctor breaks Nick. No matter what he tries, that seven year old boy is dying and he can't save him. That leads to Nick quitting and JD, sadly, regains the title of best intern.
