Mario is sent to Kirby's Dreamland and joins his pink friend on a mission to save Popstar!
When all the food on Planet Popstar is stolen, Kirby gets Mario's help reclaim it.
- Brick Joke: Luigi is seen being taken with Mario in the opening scene, but doesn't exit the UFO with Mario. Come the end of the video, and Luigi is seen still trapped inside the UFO.
- Continuity Nod: Kirby uses a traditional UFO in order to grab Mario, a nod to how he was picked up by a similar UFO in "Kirby Phones Home".
- The Dog Was the Mastermind: SMG3 is revealed to be the one who is stealing all the food, as he's too poor to afford his own.
- For the Evulz: SMG3 initially claims this as his reason for stealing all the food, but quickly reveals it's also because he doesn't have enough money to pay for his own.
- Good All Along: King Dedede wasn't the one stealing the food. His large amount of food is actually his own, which he's been stockpiling ever since he learned someone was stealing food.
- Power Copying: Aside from Kirby, Mario also is able to do this through the same Eating the Enemy method.
- Sympathy for the Devil: Subverted. Mario at first seems to feel bad for SMG3 because the latter doesn't have any food due to being poor, but quickly reveals he doesn't actually care and proceeds to punt him off the Halberd.
