Connor's man-made anomaly unleashes a swarm of future beetles into the ARC, and the team must race to get rid of them before Phillip orders the building incinerated.
- Handicapped Badass: Jess, while delirious from an insect bite, still manages to shoot a beetle from roughly ten feet away.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero:
- Connor created an anomaly inside the ARC, which is a dangerous act by itself, but he did it without bothering to figure out where it would lead to.
- Matt, in a fit of anger, blasts Connor's machine with an EMD, completely frying it. This later prevents them from using the machine to get rid of the anomaly.
- The soldier who sent the scout beetle back through the anomaly. All he did was alert the swarm that the other side of the anomaly was safe.
- We Have Reserves: After the team closes the anomaly, Phillip calls Connor angrily demanding to know why it was shut. When Connor tries to explain that the beetles killed someone, Phillip says it doesn't matter. He only relents when he realizes the beetles pose a threat to New Dawn.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Connor calls Matt out after realizing that he's the one who shot the device with an EMD.
