The Rangers are skeptical when Steel claims that he's found proof that Evox has returned.
Episode Tropes:
- All Your Powers Combined: Averted. There are no Megazord combinations whatsoever in this episode. The circumstances force the Rangers to use their individual zords to deal with the Gigadrone and its mini-army of Gigatronics.
- Call-Back: The episode (and the season) starts with Devon and the real Blaze training at the gym - much like in "Beasts Unleashed" - only this time they're on much better terms.
- Cassandra Truth: The team has difficulty believing Steel because the evidence he presents to them is a mishmash of unrelated articles and photos strewn together on a board, making him look like a crazy person.
- The Cuckoolander Was Right: Despite somehow including (among other things) the Loch Ness Monster in his info chart, Steel's basic premise that Evox is back is ultimately proven true.
- Foreshadowing: Devon claims that his father had the Morph-X spill cleaned up, only to find that it wasn't. This hints at the secret surrounding Mayor Daniels this season.
- Properly Paranoid: By the time the other four Rangers discovered that Scrozzle and the second Drilltron were harvesting Morph-X, Steel proves his own suspicions correct after all.
- Right for the Wrong Reasons:
- While Steel is right about Evox being back, he presents several unrelated articles and photos strewn together on a board as evidence. Averted with the article about Mayor Daniels' claim that he had the Morph-X spill cleaned up since that combined with the lack of records of a clean up crew being assigned for the task are a right reason to believe the Morph-X was stolen instead.
- Steel's only clue to Scrozzle's whereabouts is a blurred picture but following it does lead the Rangers to Scrozzle.
- You Have to Believe Me!: Steel tries to get the Rangers to take his claims of Evox's return seriously. It's not until they discover Scrozzle and Drilltron 2.0 that they realize he was right.
