As Ash and co are a mere stone throw away from Mauville City, they soon notice a poster for the House of Tricks. Anyone who navigates this wacky maze will receive a grand prize of a year's supply of Pokéblock. Along the way, May meets Jigglypuff, but Ash and Brock remember her all too well.

- Actually Pretty Funny: When they wake up from Jigglypuff's song the first time, May and Alanna start laughing at each other's faces and how they were drawn on.
- Lost in Translation: In the English dub, Soundproof is referred to by Max as an attack, not an ability.
- Put on a Bus: Jigglypuff is last seen walking off after finding that Whismurr, which had previously stayed awake for her song, had fallen asleep as well—not from the effects of Sing, but out of sheer exhaustion. She won't be seen again until Sun and Moon, 14 years later in real time.
- Yank the Dog's Chain: Jigglypuff finally finds something that doesn't fall asleep to her song: Alanna's Whismur, which has the ability Soundproof, making it immune. They become friends. But in the end of the episode, Whismur falls asleep from exhaustion when everyone else is again put to sleep by Jigglypuff's song, and cannot escape her face-drawing wrath.
