• Berserk Button: Wattson and Magneton are both really mad after Pikachu eliminates Magnemite and Voltorb with one attack each. This doesn't do anything as Pikachu's Thunder simply punches through Magneton's Zap Cannon and knocks out the Electric/Steel-type.
• Curb-Stomp Battle: This is the only Gym Battle Ash had made a clean sweep. Pikachu took out all of Wattson's Pokémon with one Thunderbolt and Thunder attack, but because it was overcharged after attacking Wattson's robot Raikou.
• Heroic BSoD: Wattson after Ash curb stomps him. He gets out of it with the help of an Electrike.
