  • Aborted Arc: Or more accurately, Aborted Conclusion to an arc. Team Rocket Boss Giovanni is seen about to arrive in Unova, prepared to activate the energy of the Meteonite which was currently buried within the Relic Castle, located in the Desert Resort, and Professor Juniper, Officer Jenny, and the three heroes headed there too in order to investigate what was disturbing all the Venipede. What was going to happen here was that in the following two episodes, Team Plasma was to be introduced and would swipe the Meteonite from Giovanni just as he was set to use the activation of it's energy as a threat to ransom control of Unova with, Looker of the International Police would return on the trail of Team Plasma, Jessie, James, and Meowth would fight Team Plasma for the Meteonite in the Desert Resort and their fight would cause the Meteonite's energy to go unstable and spread to the nearby Castelia City, threatening to blow it all up, and ultimately Pikachu would use the galvanized power it gained from Zekrom to destroy the Meteonite to save everyone, forcing Team Rocket and Team Plasma into a retreat, with Giovanni, Pierce, Dr. Zager, and the rest of the Rocket Grunts departing back to Kanto, leaving only the regular trio behind in Unova, but right after this episode's airing, Tōhoku tsunami started and the episodes were pulled from airing because of the earthquake tremors in Part 1 and waves of unstable energy threatening to destroy a city in Part 2 having too much similarities with the tragedy. TV Tokyo stated they'd be aired on a later date, but due to the release of Black 2 and White 2 rendering Team Plasma as depicted in the episodes obsolete, the episodes remain unbroadcasted despite the story still being canon in the original version of the anime. In the international dub, the ending of this episode that served as a direct lead-in to the scrapped two-parter was cut despite the scene of Giovanni flying to Unova still be kept, causing a Plot Hole, so in the dub it remains unknown why Team Rocket didn't ever use the Meteonite after all the work they put in to obtain it or if they even did obtain it after all, how Professor Juniper's investigation of the energy readings in the Desert Resort went, and why Giovanni was too busy to give Jessie and James new missions in the following episode.
  • Dub Induced Plothole: Due to the international dub version of this episode editing down the ending to remove the lead-in to the skipped two-parter, Professor Juniper and Officer Jenny's investigation of the energy at the Desert Resort that drove all the Venipede into a frenzy gets no follow-up, and despite Giovanni being shown in his jet plane about to arrive in Unova, the following episodes give no word on whether or not the Meteonite was successfully obtained, and if it was, why Giovanni doesn't use it for world domination like he'd been planning. In the very next episode, Team Rocket tries to contact him from his Kanto HQ but are told by his secretary that he's too busy to give them orders, and it's not explained why he's so busy or why they're trying to reach him from Kanto when he was said to be arriving in Unova in just the previous episode.
  • Enemy Mine: Trip actually helps the main characters to drive out the Venipede without hurting them.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: We never see what became of the Venipede after they are all stationed at Central Park.
