Recap / Pokémon EA 46 I Ain't Losing The Fight

Go To

The final match of the Hoofington Battle Tournament culminates in a battle between Flash and Lightning, as their rivalry reaches a new peak.

  • Cliffhanger: Unlike the previous chapters, the match between Flash and Lightning isn't covered in a single chapter, with the former summoning Viper and the latter summoning Guardroid before the battle continues in the next entry. Though both trainers have revealed their entire teams, and Flash is technically leading having beaten two of Lightning's Pokémon while only losing one of his own, it is noted that Lightning still has the advantage due to Flash's Pokémon having received much more damage.
  • The Only One Allowed to Defeat You: Timber Spruce watches the match on TV and actually rooting for Flash just because he wants to be the one to beat him.
  • Redemption Rejection: Before the match, Grand tries urging Lightning to stop being an abusive trainer to his Pokémon and take his ego down a notch. Unfortunately, Lightning doesn't want to hear it, leaving a bitter Grand to sigh in disappointment.
  • Villains Out Shopping: Team Shadow watches the Hoofington Battle Tournament's last match from their own television. While Sombra is implied to only be watching to observe Flash's training skills, Doom Raizer and Chrysalis are there to casually see Flash get beaten.
