When a nor'easter hits Horseshoe Bay, Ace warns everyone that the storm has been known to blow restless spirits ashore. Meanwhile, Nancy confronts Nick about the secrets he's been keeping.

- Bat Deduction: Tiffany left a series of clues at the Lilac Inn, which she had turned into a landmark so it could never be changed after her restoration. All of these are solved by recognizing the clues to their past, until the final riddle is the key to open a safe. Nancy immediately deduces that the clock is a combination lock and they need to set the time to open it and get the key, first the time Tiffany saw the death and the date on which it occurred.
- Dead Person Conversation: George and Bess converse with Rita Howell Rita was killed in an freak boating accident in the summer of 1975. Upon learning what happened to Rita George's freaked out since according to the blood in her bucket she's destined to die within the next year.
- Internal Reveal: Nancy and Ace learn that Bess is living out of her car. Nancy also learns that Bess has Tiffany's missing ring.
- Mistaken for Insane: Because he's being haunted by Lucy and Carson isn't, Carson thinks Ryan is self-medicating and freaking out.
- Properly Paranoid: When he learns Tiffany left him more than $5 million bearer bonds, Nick freaks out, worried that they just committed a massive theft and that he's going back to jail. Nancy assures him he isn't.
