Orel doesn't have many cheeks left to turn.

Orel learns about 'turning the other cheek' in a children's record and tries to apply it in school, which only gets him beat up by the bully Walt. After Bloberta complains about all the blood Orel's getting on his shirts and how she'll have to double her detergent budget, Clay advises Orel to teach Walt to turn the other cheek instead. Orel beats him up after he bullies Doughy. Unfortunately, the power goes to Orel's head and he attacks anyone making a fist, culminating in him beating up his parents. Clay refuses to punish Orel because technically speaking, Orel was following Clay's advice, and punishing him for it would mean admitting that Clay was wrong.

  • Black Comedy: Orel beating the ever loving shit out of everyone he sees, including his own parents, with a smile on his face, shouldn't be as funny as it is.
  • Bloody Smile: Orel does this throughout the second quarter of the episode, with him being repeatedly beat up and tormented, yet smiling because he is "turning the other cheek".
  • Ear Worm: In Universe. Orel plays the song "Turn The Other Cheek" over and over again to the point that by the end of the day, even Bloberta sings it as well.
  • Groin Attack: As Orel and Clay get into a brawl, Orel delivers a kick to the parts that gave birth to him.
  • Leaning on the Fourth Wall: Clay claims he and Orel need to stay in the study for about a minute to convince Bloberta he's punishing Orel. They proceed to wait in silence for the final minute of the episode to finish as credits roll.
  • Never My Fault: Clay acknowledges to a degree that it was his poorly worded advice that caused the disaster that ensued with Orel, but because by punishing Orel he would be indirectly admitting that he's wrong he decides to let his son off the hook while pretending to Bloberta that he's done so.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: After Orel misinterprets Clay's lesson on what "Turn the other cheek" really means. It turns out that Orel is pretty strong despite being a friendly and devout Christian child. While he has the advantage of decking people while they're unaware, the fight that happens between Orel and Clay shows that the kid is a lot stronger than he looks.
  • Red Boxing Gloves: Later in the episode, Orel hooks himself up to a strange contraption that continuously punches his cheeks with a pair of these.
