"At our age, 'until death do us part' didn't seem like such a good commitment."

Jogging buddies Margot (Jane Alexander) and Ken (James Saito) strike up a loving romance in their old age that is cut short at Ken's death.

Tropes in this episode:

  • Anachronic Order: The episode cuts back and forth to the present day (Ken's funeral) and stages of his and Margot's romance.
  • December–December Romance: Margot and Ken are both elderly when they start seeing each other.
  • Meet Cute: Yasmine and Rob's first meeting is shown in this episode — Rob is Stood Up for a date. When they're both watching the rain at a cafe, Yasmine offers to step in.
  • Second Love: Ken falls for Margot six years after the death of his beloved wife.
  • Umbrella of Togetherness: Nonromantic variation; Guzmin and Maggie walk back from the abortion clinic under Guzmin's umbrella, which is a sign of solidarity and support.
  • "Where Are They Now?" Epilogue:
    • For "When Cupid Is a Prying Journalist": Joshua and Emma have gotten back together and Julie is back on the dating scene.
    • For "Rallying to Keep the Game Alive": Sarah and Dennis continue to play tennis even under a drizzle, implying renewed commitment.
