- Dream Within a Dream: After Ian has a nightmare about monkeys, Ian wakes up and sees a gorilla playing his piano, who apologizes for waking him up. Ian wakes up again and sees a gorilla standing next to him, which Ian isn't scared of until it takes off its mask to reveal Ian's face. Ian gets annoyed by all the fakeouts and tells the episode to cut to Chris's dream already.
- Trauma Button Ending: After Chris has a nightmare about pizza and Ian has a nightmare about monkeys, a pizza delivery man in a gorilla suit knocks on their door to tell them about the opening of Chunky Monkey Pizza. They scream and close the door in response.
