Higgins asks Magnum for help when one of her old MI6 colleagues resurfaces, injured and with a report that an assassin known as "the Viper" has resurfaced in Oahu. The case is personal for Higgins as the Viper murdered her fiancé.

In this case it's Higgins' murdered fiancé being avenged rather than Magnum's friend, but the ending is echoed when the Viper taunts Higgins that she won't kill him in cold blood. In this case, he's right, as she turns him over to law enforcement instead. Magnum is seen watching Stalag 17 as in that episode.
