Stone makes a deal with low-level mobsters when they offer to testify against a mob boss who murdered a union leader but the case soon unravels and all parties involved walk.
This episode contains examples of:
- Batman Gambit: The Affably Evil Mafia boss Frank Masucci (a thinly-veiled version of John Gotti) runs a doozy of one on Stone, feeding him false information about a murder Masucci ordered and getting Stone to indict him on the basis of their testimony. When the case goes to trial, Masucci's attorney melodramatically reveals that all of the evidence against his client is based on perjury and Masucci walks.
