Deep in the tunnel Ravenwaves dug two episodes ago, a dragon tree sprouts and grows. Its flowers hatch into three baby dragons, Sweetcurl, Merrycurl, and Bouncycurl. They mistake Hairball for their mother, as he was the first thing they saw after hatching. He plans to raise them to serve under Ravenwaves, who's pleased at the news, but notes that their mother, Longcurl, would be returning to check on the seeds she planted. When Longcurl does come back, she's devastated at her babies being gone.
Ravenwaves frames Lady Lovelylocks for kidnapping the babies, saying she only rescued one, and an angry Longcurl sets out to get the rest back. Ravenwaves and Longcurl head to Lady's castle and attack with the dragon's fire. Shining Glory's magic creates a forcefield, but it won't hold for long without a belladonna herb, which the maidens obtain. Meanwhile, the baby dragon Ravenwaves left behind goes to find Hairball, but runs into Lady instead. Lady is kind to Sweetcurl and plans to rescue her siblings, and seeing one of her babies prompts Longcurl to follow Lady to Ravenwaves' castle. Longcurl spots her other babies with Hairball and realizes the deception, but they don't recognize her as her mother and run away. Lady vows to find the others and break the hold Ravenwaves has on them, and notes that at least one of the babies is back.
