Longcurl the dragon is still depressed over two of her babies being missing. To make her feel better, Lady plans to hold a festival to celebrate Longcurl, which Ravenwaves and Hairball are happy to stop. After fun and games, Hairball creates a potion to give Ravenwaves immunity to a stunning powder, which paralyzes everyone and lets the Comb Gnomes capture Longcurl in a barge.
Ravenwaves escapes down the river as the powder wears off, planning to float Longcurl past the Sea of Far Beyond, where she'll never be seen again. The Pixietails build a raft, and despite interference from Hairball and the Comb Gnomes, Lady and the group rescue Longcurl. Longcurl's other babies arrive to defend Hairball, but eventually recognize Longcurl as their mother, calming her from a fiery rampage. Back at the village, Longcurl celebrates and has fun with all three of her babies.
