- Epic Fail: The line cook on salad duty starts making caesar salad with carrot strips instead of croutons, to Gordon's bewilderment.
- Hypercompetent Sidekick: The head chef, Orlando, clearly knows how to cook, but he's bogged down by bland, outdated recipes. He manages to shine when Gordon allows him more freedom to cook his own dishes.
- Manly Tears: Orlando when Gordon reveals the brand-new cookware he's donating to the restaurant. As mentionned before, he's a competent cook but he and his team struggled to work with the outdated equipment in the kitchen.
