Peggy volunteers to help with the school cheerleading squad by having Bobby as a mascot and participating with the cheerleaders, but soon finds herself facing the school board after her "Fighting Irish" show is deemed racist.

- Bittersweet Ending: Peggy gets fired, but Connie uses one of her cheers at the big game, giving the team enough confidence to win.
- Disproportionate Retribution: Jo Rita, wanting revenge on Peggy for taking her position as cheerleading coach, tells her about the Irish joke book that can be used in the new routine, which kickstarts Peggy getting fired.
- Special Guest: Mac Davis as Sports Jock and the Announcer and Peri Gilpin as Jo Rita.
- Un-person: Peggy is kicked off the cheer team for her offensive Irish routine. Moss allows her to keep her substitute Spanish teaching job, but warns her she'll be fired from that too if anything goes out of line. Considering she's never shown teaching again after this season, it's safe to assume she either quit, or Moss kept his word (or buckled) and fired her offscreen.
