Dale donates a kidney to John Force (the head of the National Hot Rod Association), but, before Dale goes under the knife, he forces Hank to make all his outlandish wishes come true. Meanwhile, Bobby gets to do school announcements for a few days.
Tropes:
- All for Nothing: Turns out that Dale didn't need to have his kidney removed afterall, as they were able to cure John without it. However, since Dale's given Hank the power of attourney for the time he needs to spend in the hospital, he has to make a decision whether to give it to a 10 year old boy, which he does. Dale's not happy with it since he already managed to secure a buyer via Octavio and steals it back after the boy has already arrived, but he ultimately relents and lets the boy have it in exchange for his videogame console and some of his toys.
- Laugh Track: A variation: when Bobby's jokes on his announcements fall flat, Peggy gets the idea to ring a cowbell after a joke and repeat the punchline, and everyone laughs themselves silly every time.
- Swapped Roles: While Dale spends 3 days in the hospital to have his kidney removed and recovering from it, he grants Hank the power of attourney and in exchange for donating the kidney, he makes Hank fulfill all of his duties until he can leave. These include feeding his tortoises, buying "alien urine" from a shady dealer and damaging Octavio's car for an insurance scam. When he's leaving the hospital, Dale asks Hank whether he slept with Nancy while he was recovering and upon being told no, he laughs and comments "too late!".
