A long time ago, magic had ruled the land. However with the ever growing progress of science, magic was all but forgotten. Centuries later the power of magic is making a resurgence.
We first see our main character, Haruto Souma, eating a donut atop a highway light, just cause, when one of his mechanical helpers alerts him to a phantom attack. There, a rookie cop named Rinko Daimon and her squad are beaten by the Minotaur phantom. Haruto saves the day however, causing the phantom to flee and defeating his mooks, Ghouls.
