Blooper: Once, late in the game, contestant alibis were put up... without dialogue attached to them. Oops. - Continuity Snarl: Despite Perry being a descendant of that Goth family, the various settings and lore of the Simblrs who chose to compete in the project mean that various minor things that were true when Mortimer and Bella were alive are still true fifteen generations later, especially in terms of technology. But this is a usual side effect of a multi-Sims-creator collaboration like this.
- Know When to Fold 'Em: Defied. Perry, conscious of the decreased morality and morTality of his contestants, attempts to call off the project in Episode 7. However, his contestants convince him to stay on the grounds that they're not afraid, therefore he shouldn't be. This is a marked inversion from other MMB Cs where the host usually declares their intent, for the sake of catching the murderer and bringing justice to them, to see their projects through to the end; while not the wrong approach, it's a very different one.
- Lack of Empathy: Octavio Mathis, in spaces. Marcus Johansen too, to a certain extent.
- Second Place Is for Losers: The murderer's ultimate rationale for all this.Marcus: “I… I just wanted to come out on top for once.”Luna/Mia Goth: “And you decided the best way would be to kill everyone?”Marcus: “It wasn’t a decision I took lightly.”Luna/Mia Goth: “It shouldn’t have even been a decision to make! Who in their right mind thinks ‘oh yeah, to win this BC I’ll murder all my competitors’?! What happened to determination and strong will?!”
- Suspiciously Similar Substitute: Ermengarde Roth. Believe it or not, this is a real Sims premade family too!
