Recap / Fudencio E Seus Amigos S 3 E 23 Quem Vegeta Sempre Alcanca

Go To

A vegan activist named Alfafa Horta visits the class to explain to the kids the benefits of veganism. After they discover how animals suffer in the meat-raising process, the students decide to become vegans, except Fudêncio and Funérea. However, they discover that everything is of animal origin, in one way or another.

Tropes:

  • Meaningful Name: Alfafa Horta. "Alfalfa" is a legume and "horta" is Portuguese for vegetable garden.
  • Skewed Priorities: Conrado and ZĂ© Maria tell Safeno that, even though yogurt is vital for his health, he should stop eating it anyway because his health is less important than the calf that originated the yogurt.
  • Vegetarian for a Day: Alfafa Hort convinces almost all the kids, except Fudêncio and Funérea, to stop consuming any animal derivatives. They are ok with it at first, but give up after finding out everything is derivated from animals in one way or another, plus some people need them (for example, Safeno needs yogurt for his health).
