- Momo Akanegakubo's Queen's Apple Tart has both an impressive design and a fantastic flavor. Presentation-wise, the tarts are shaped like roses with the apple slices placed like rose petals, and all of them are presented in an edible pastry crust basket. Regarding the flavor, Momo manages to prepare a syrup with the pure fragrance of Damask Roses, added at the last minute to the apples without boiling, which allows the filling to preserve the aroma of the petals.
- Megumi's Dorayaki, in comparison, has a very plain and simple presentation, but the fluffy pancake, made with tofu, honey, and apples, and the shiroan (white pastry cream with an apple compound butter as the base) with apples are sweet and soft, which binding could only be possible thanks to Shinomiya's technique. The judges give her one point instead of a complete win for Momo, which makes Momo no longer consider Megumi "cute".
- Insistent Terminology: Momo keeps insisting Eizan he calls Bucchi by its name, not "plush".
- Nervous Wreck: Shinomiya's presence makes Megumi remember Training Camp, which makes her nervous, and starts making a lot of mistakes while cooking in front of him. Shinomiya realizes that he has to solve this first before starting her training.

- Training Montage: Turns out that Megumi had none other than Shinomiya as her personal trainer. After a lot of struggle to overcome her trauma with him, Shinomiya has to readjust his relationship with her and use her love for sports manga to visualize it as a typical coach-student training arc.
- Tsundere:
- Shinomiya shows up to watch the 3rd Bout, claiming that he is just killing time before his train arrives. He really is interested in watching Megumi's progress.
- Likewise, Shinomiya claims that he accepted Doujima's request to help with the rebels' training on a whim. In reality, Shinomiya can't look away from the possibility of Soma and Megumi ruining their careers because of Central, because he deeply cares for everyone who has worked in his kitchen.
- We Work Well Together: Continuing with the strategy from the previous bout, Soma, Megumi, and Takumi share ingredients during the cooking time. Takumi prepares the flour for both of them and the minced ginger for his own dish and Megumi's filling, Megumi prepares the compound butter for both her pastry cream and Soma's dish, and Soma slices the beef in uniform slices for Takumi's dish.
