- Chick Magnet: Cade is not in the least bit surprised to find that he's the subject of a female guest's fantasy after she saw him in the lobby. She's mortified while explaining it to him, but his expression says, "Well yes, you have eyes, continue."
- Inn of No Return: The hotel grounds are ringed by more Lotus Eater Devices, meaning anyone trying to escape will find themselves back in a rabbit hole.
- Hope Spot: For perhaps thirty seconds, Cade thinks he's proved to law enforcement that aliens are real. Then the fantasy sequence resets itself.
- Lotus-Eater Machine: The Gua experiment shows people their fondest desires. Cade leads two cops to actual, physical evidence that aliens are real.
