Sherlock visits the morgue, hoping to find suspicious deaths. He notices the body of Leo Banim, who had crashed his motorcycle, had a gang tattoo and mysterious palm scars. Sherlock notes that it was unlikely for Banin to get such even scars in a crash especially when he was wearing gloves. He suggests that Banim got those scars from garroting a man, just recently before dying.
The first person they go to is Banim's wife Lara. Sherlock explains his theory to her, and also tells her that he understands how it feels to have a loved one be a murderous sociopath.
