Season 1, Episode 6:
Two Nations of the Stone World
In a flashback, Senku investigates petrification. In the present, Senku, Taiju, and Yuzuriha scheme against the budding Tsukasa empire.
Feats of Science:
- De-petrification of a clump of Senku's hair... and Taiju
- Senku lifts an enormous fallen tree by building a compound pulley
Tropes:
- Blue-and-Orange Morality: The healing properties of de-petrification make Senku consider that maybe the petrification wave wasn't a hostile attack.
- Clarke's Third Law: Kohaku's primitive life experience mean that she can only conceive of Senku as a sorcerer.
- Failure Montage: Senku's experiments fail over and over, showing both Senku's determination and the many failures along the route to scientific discovery.
- Hard-Work Montage: Alone in the Stone World, Senku thinks hard about the petrification phenomenon and runs experiments.
- Put on a Bus: Senku sends Taiju and Yuzuriha to join Tsukasa as spies.
- Sherlock Scan: Tsukasa deduces a great deal about Kohoaku's life from their brief encounter and strategizes accordingly.
- Squick: Senku's failed revivication experiments created dismembered corpses!
- The Determinator: Senku's perseverance makes an even stronger impression on Kohaku than his feat with the pulley.
