Degrassi's Spirit Squad is rehearsing their end of the year routine, and there is noticeable tension between Manny and Paige, due to Manny's outing of
Paige's and Mr. Oleander's relationship. Not to mention prom is around the corner. Hazel tries to set Manny up to smooth things over with Paige at the mall, but it ends badly when they are both wearing the same prom dress. And to add insult to injury, Mr. Oleander is going off to the Yukon for a job, leaving Paige alone in Toronto. Paige is on the warpath, and at the next Spirit Squad she demotes Manny to mascot. Darcy and Manny hatch a scheme to sabotage Paige's routine by dropping her and Paige hurts her leg. At prom, Manny and Paige's rivalry comes to a head, and
Hazel finally confronts Paige on her
Jerkass behavior. Manny tries doing something nice by voting for Paige for prom queen, but Paige is furious that Manny is wearing "her" dress and sabotages the votes so
Manny can win the prom queen position, and when handing her the crown, Paige "trips" and pulls off
Manny's dress exposing her in front of everyone. Paige and Manny argue in the bathroom, until they come to an uneasy truce.
B Plot
Meanwhile,
Kevin Smith is in town doing filming for his new movie,
Jay and Silent Bob Go Canadian, Eh and meets Craig while he's being interviewed with Caitlin. Kevin then refers Craig to his soundtrack guy in order to get his music in the movie. Ashley also has news from Craig: she's going to London for an internship. Craig enlists her help for making music for the film, but the soundtrack guy pretty much hates their music. Ashley and Craig play prom and they rock out but Ashley is still deadset on going to London. Kevin then drops some sagely advice for Craig to throw himself into his music and he'll put his music in the film.
