It's camping VS glamping when Duane tries teaching Craig and Bryson how to survive in nature, while Uncle Darnell lures the others to his fancy RV.
- Ancestral Weapon: Downplayed. Earl gave Duane a hatchet as the new King of Camping, and he has kept it all these years. Earl also gave one to Darnell, which he subsequently lost.
- Continuity Nod: In "The Tournament" Bryson says he's trying to be a hat person. Here he's wearing a hat during his meet up with Craig and Jessica.
- Chekhov's Skill: Craig and Bryson use the skills they learned from Duane to help save the pizza delivery person.
- Didn't Think This Through: Darrell decides to order pizza for the family after deciding to not use the fryer.. (Since if used with the other appliances in use, it will short everything out.) In the middle of the forest. Duane quickly calls him out on this when he finds out.
- Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow: A flashback shows Duane and Darnell's father Earl with a head full of jehri curls.
- Horrible Camping Trip: Duane forgot to hitch the trailer with all their camping gear and food. Using what they can find, Duane, Craig and Bryson manage to improvise a decent camping site, which unfortunately falls apart in the rain. Meanwhile, Bernard and Jessica go to Darnell's tricked-out RV, but end up shorting out the battery, leaving them without conveniences as well.
- Running Gag: Bryson "smelling" very obvious to see things in nature.
