A kid who ran away from summer camp washes up on the Creek near the Stump.
Tropes:
- By the Lights of Their Eyes: Lampshaded. When the trio are inside the secret room, Craig and Kelsey can't see J.P.'s eyes because, as he himself points out, he has no white sclerae.
- Confirm Before Reveal: While fixing Roxy's canoe, Craig finds a bag of brand name cheese puffs inside. Craig confirm with Roxy if she said the camp she was staying at didn't have good food, and after she confirms it he reveals the snack he found and Roxy claims she stopped by the Duck Mart and got one, despite the fact that she travels in a canoe.
- Duct Tape for Everything: Craig uses duct tape to fix Roxy's canoe. When she asks if it's good enough, Craig says he uses it for everything, including mending J.P.'s pants; J.P. then shows her his pants, which are almost all tape. ("I can never take them off.")
- Pulling the Thread: Craig starts noticing holes in Roxy's story. First, while fixing the canoe, he finds a bag of brand name cheese puffs, when Roxy said the camp only served unappetizing slop. Then, as she hands him a roll of duct tape, Craig notices that Roxy's hands aren't callous from canoeing all day, as she claimed.
- Something We Forgot: As Roxanne and the counselor paddle back to camp, they forget to free the trio from having their hands glued together. The counselor mistook them as protesters trying to keep a tree from being cut down.
- Sympathy for the Devil: When Roxy reveals herself as just wanting to return home, Craig begins to understand her better, despite Kelsey's objections.
