After the events of the last episode, Aelita spends time away from the gang searching for her mother via social media, while Jérémie and the rest of the warriors attempt to catch a specter to drain its code.
This episode contains examples of:
- Batman Gambit: The Lyoko Warriors plan to drain a specter of its code by capturing one in the scanners. However, it explodes in the scanner, and gets sent to Lyoko, and possesses Yumi and Ulrich, leaving Odd the only one to save the day.
- Bland-Name Product: Facespace is one for Facebook and Myspace.
- Continuity Snarl: Aelita only has one picture of Franz and herself back at Hermitage, neither include her mother.
- Lured into a Trap: Jérémie suggests trapping a Specter in the scanner to steal code back from XANA. It goes horribly wrong once they succeed, as the Specter eventually explodes and foces Yumi into a coma, and very nearly throws her into the digital sea.
- Monochrome Past: Aelita's flashback uses this method.
