After saving Power and Meowy from the Bat Devil, Denji has to face his lover, the Leech Devil. Though it defeats him, Aki rescues the both of them. The next day, Power moves in with Aki and Denji.

- Denji's fight with the Leech Devil in the manga was just a brief montage until he made his final charge. The anime has a full sequence of him running around, trying to attack her from various angles.
- In the manga, Aki says sparing Power doesn't mean he intends to get friendly with her, and then it cuts to her moving into his apartment. Here, we see him recapping the events to Makima, then a lengthy scene of Aki's morning before Power showed up.
- Hobbling the Giant: Denji grabs some of the Bat Devil's intestines on the ground and ties up the Leech Devil's leg, tripping her.
- Morning Routine: We see Aki wake up, grind and brew coffee, and read the newspaper while smoking on the balcony, all before Denji wakes up (and Power moves in).
- "Open!" Says Me: Power quickly gets tired of knocking on Aki's door (even though she never introduced herself or waited for him to answer), and so uses her blood to smash it open at the lockset.
