Tropes

  • Blatant Lies: Shelby claims that she was allowed to borrow Wainwright’s Deluxe RV, when his reaction later makes it clear she stole it.
  • Chekhov's Gun:
    • The Rustbucket acts up if the toilet is flushed without certain procedures. Ben later uses this to sabotage it when it falls into the wrong hands.
    • The fact that a new highway is opening, which will make it harder for the Road Crew to operate. Their plan involving the RVs turns out to be to mod them to destroy the highway with a missile.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Ben tries confronting Baron right after the Omnitrix times out, and realizes he's a ten-year-old boy against a middle-aged land pirate.
  • Dragon Their Feet: Turbine tries attacking Ben and Max after Baron and Road Rage are defeated, only for Gwen to smack her down from behind.
  • Never Mess with Granny: Shelby is an elderly waitress who curb-stomps Road Rage when he's deprived of all his weapons.
  • Pun-Based Title: On the common trucker phrase, "10-4, good buddy" and the protagonist's name.
  • Sentimental Shabbiness: When Ben points out the insurance payout from the stolen Rustbucket should be enough to buy a brand-new RV, Grandpa Max refuses, claiming that the old Rustbucket is irreplaceable and has "character". Of course, the Rustbucket's rusted exterior hides advanced Plumber technology, but Max never makes that a point.
