- Can't Live Without You: Because each replicant of a Duplibuncle contains part of the original's spectrum energy they are ultimately dependent on each other to a degree. If a clone is destroyed, the energy can only survive on its own for five minutes before disappearing. A Duplibuncle without its full spectrum energy also has several years shaved off of its life expectancy, since it feels like losing a piece of their own soul.
- Expy: The Stab-Stinger is based on the Pokémon Beedrill.
- Monster Is a Mommy: The Voltiger hunting the Duplibuncle is revealed to have a pregnant mate, who needs to eat or else it risks losing the baby.
- Senseless Sacrifice: One Duplibuncle tries to save its friend from being attacked by a Stab-Stinger instead of running with the rest of the group, but just ends up getting killed along its friend.
- Transferable Memory: When a Duplibuncle replicant has its energy returned to the original, the original gains all the memories that its clone experienced.
