Lydia's too young to drive in the Living World, but the Neitherworld is a whole different story. So, she and Beetlejuice buy a wrecked car and transform it into their very own Dragster of Doom, which they refer to as "Doomie" for short. But they soon discover that their new car is a much bigger handful than they ever could've imagined.

While they search for him, she and Beetlejuice soon come to the conclusion of what was causing Doomie's bizarre outbursts.Lydia: Oh… I really hurt Doomie's feelings. I wish I knew why he won't behave.
Beetlejuice: I don't know, Babes. That car had everything goin' for him! A roof over his head, caring owners, an abnormal brain…
Lydia: "Abnormal brain"!? (grabs him by the lapels) WE'VE GOT TO FIND HIM!
