Recap / Arrested Development S 4 Remix E 2 Three Half Men

Go To

Lucille is being kept at the coast guard. George discovers Stan Sitwell's contract to build a wall between the USA and Mexico, and later runs into his brother Oscar and some new friends who happen to live near the border. George and Lucille conceive the plan to buy the land and build the wall themselves.

Meanwhile, GOB accidentally proposes to Ann and devises a plan to get out of the marriage, and Buster makes up for Lucille's absence.

The Arrested Development episode "Three Half Men" provides examples of:

  • Borrowed Catchphrase: GOB accidentally proposes by saying Maeby's former catchphrase "Marry me!". Unfortunately, Ann takes it literally.
  • Leitmotif: Simon & Garfunkel's "The Sound of Silence" plays whenever GOB starts questioning his life. Which is very often in this episode.
  • Shared Family Quirks: Both George and GOB are presented with new friends or a new family. Both answer "I don't want these".
