Just because an idea has been patented, doesn't mean that it's actually any good. Just means no one's thought of it before, and... sometimes there's a reason for that.

I'm gonna say this was probably a waste of time and you should probably just dip them. There's a reason no one has thought of this before now, and that's 'cause it's a bad idea.
