Basic Trope: Shows mostly aimed at ages 1-6. Often an edutainment show.

  • Straight: "The Adventures of Alice and Bob" is an edutainment show mostly aimed at ages 1-6.
  • Exaggerated: "The Adventures of Alice and Bob" is aimed at infants.
  • Downplayed: "The Adventures of Alice and Bob" is aimed more towards the 5+ crowd, and has about the same content that would've been suitable for PBS Kids GO!. Younger kids can watch it if they want, but may not necessarily be as interested for whatever reason. The show also attracts a large Periphery Demographic of older kids, teenagers, and adults.
  • Justified: The main characters are also young children, so it's understandable that they'd be in a show for those around that age group.
  • Inverted: "The Adventures of Alice and Bob" is a show aimed at adults.
  • Subverted: "The Adventures of Alice and Bob" is presented as a colorful cartoon that wouldn't be out of place on networks like Nick Jr., but it turns out to be a Subverted Kids' Show.
  • Double Subverted:
    • However, despite this, it is appropriate for kids to watch (aside from some mildly questionable content).
    • Executive Meddling demands that "The Adventures of Alice and Bob" gets retooled to be more appropriate for all ages, though.
  • Parodied: "The Adventures of Alice and Bob" is actually very unsuitable for children, but is presented in the same style as a children's edutainment show.
  • Zig-Zagged:
    • "The Adventures of Alice and Bob" can appeal to multiple demographics depending on the episode.
    • "The Adventures of Alice and Bob" is a franchise, which has gotten multiple adaptations as a show for preschoolers, multiple adaptations as a show for older kids, and multiple adaptations as a show for teens.
  • Averted: "The Adventures of Alice and Bob" is not aimed at preschoolers.
  • Enforced: It's on a network for young kids, such as PBS Kids, Nick Jr., or Disney Junior.
