- Justfied:
- Alligators if not crocodilians in general in the setting contain magic properties that are useful to wizards.
- Alyssa uses the alligator via reanimation as a guard/attack dog should enemies get in there.
- Subverted: The alligator starts moving, and Alyssa starts yelling "Albert! Get down here!" Turns out that was her (live) pet that got loose.
