Imagine this was you behind the wheel, about to score a big win before you're deliberately pushed to the wall at high speeds. You either barely make it out alive, or your racing machine becomes your tomb.

While GRID Legends is known for it's hardcore nature of motorsports racing, there's at least a few yet notable unnerving moments that show the dark side of motorsports racing. Especially when you consider the lack of safety cars and racing stewards to ensure that each and every racer finishes the race in one piece, which can easily lead to a career-ending disaster, perhaps worse.

  • Nathan McKane himself. He may look like a skilled driver for Ravenwest Motorsport, but he's anything but a friendly person. He often doesn't come off with a friendly smile on his face and is even disliked by other racing teams, notably Seneca Racing and Voltz, and is incredibly cold and emotionless in each and every interview. For him being the most skilled drivers in GRID is an understatement, with one instance deliberately shoving Valentin Manzi and then starting to throw hands against him. The fact that he's still racing after those petty actions Nathan himself committed and not being suspended makes you wonder why both him and Ravenwest Motorsport hasn't been barred from racing altogether. Even Lara Carvalho, who happens to be Nathan's teammate, doesn't show good terms with him because all Nathan cares about is getting first place by any means necessary, and even ultimately leaves the team afterwards.
    • The fact that Nathan went as far as to almost kill Yume Tanaka, who had just passed him after he left his gap for her to overtake, really shows his massive ego because he doesn't want to finish 2nd or 3rd place altogether. And he's not even the least bit sorry for his actions as a result of his recklesss racing! If you look at his expression, he's incredibly callous, uncaring and unconcerned; he only cares about winning for his team, even if it means indirectly murdering another racing driver because he's an egotistical douche doing whatever it takes to win, even if it means fighting dirty.
  • Although Yume Tanaka had survived a near-death experience from a crash, she had her leg amputated and replaced with a prostethic one, all because of Nathan's obsession in winning the race with no regard over the fact that he nearly killed another driver just because she sought the opportunity to pass him. In the real world, a driver that commits these kinds of reprehensible actions would lead to being permanently banned from racing altogether, but also lead to an arrest if their offenses are serious enough, but in the world of GRID, it's anyone's game. And dirty racing is encouraged, and even if Nathan cranked it up to 11, he somehow got away with it until the final race when his uncle was deservedly arrested and Nathan left the interview out of rage.
